Best Times to Visit
Early morning and late afternoon tend to be less crowded.

Parking

How Much Time to Allow
Allow approximately 5 hours to visit all three attractions. Allow extra time if you plan to take time for lunch or dinner while visiting.

Dress
Be sure to dress according to the season keeping in mind that the temperature on top of the mountain is an average of 7 - 10 degrees cooler than in the valley. Ruby Falls cave is weatherproof and 60 degrees year round. Some of our guests prefer to wear a light jacket or sweater inside the cave.

Rock City and Ruby Falls are both just under one mile round trip walking. We recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes.

The paved pathway inside Ruby Falls has groups of 4-5 steps in some places & is less than a mile round trip. We recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes.

Food
Popularly priced short-order type food service is available at Rock City, Ruby Falls and the Incline Railway's Top & Bottom Stations. Snack shops are also available to satisfy any sweet tooth or a thirsty family!

Pet Policies
Ruby Falls and Incline Railway do not allow pets. Rock City does allow dogs on a leash.

Strollers & Handicap Accessibility
Due to some narrow passages, strollers are not allowed inside Ruby Falls' cave. We recommend bringing an infant backpack.

Ruby Fall's main building is fully handicap accessible. Regretfully, the cave tour is not wheelchair accessible due to some narrow passages.

Due to some narrow passages along Rock City's trail, strollers are not allowed. We recommend bringing an infant backpack.

Rock City is partially handicap accessible. Improvements to Gardens Gateway and our newly developed Legacy Lane allows our guests in wheelchairs or with limited mobility to enjoy a handicap accessible trail to the overlook at Lover's Leap and the Flag Court. Round trip distance is about 1/2 mile

Incline Railway allows the umbrella-type strollers on the cars, but only folded up and carried onboard.

Both the Incline Railway's Top and Bottoms Stations are fully wheelchair accessible but the cars are not.
